Hi everyone!
Many of you have been asking: "How’s the job hunt going now that you’re free?" The truth is, freedom is a double-edged sword. Without a plan, you risk spending the whole day "feeling busy" without producing any real results.
The holiday fog is lifting, and the silence of an empty calendar can be deafening. After quitting my job, I faced my first real enemy: the trap of perceived productivity. It’s easy to send out three applications and feel like you’ve conquered the world. But the reality is different.
“When you’re desperate for a job, you need to be applying to 30, 60, 80 jobs a day... I think people have lost their way in understanding what ‘a lot’ really means.” — Gary Vaynerchuk
Gary is right. We’ve redefined "hard work" in a way that hurts us. If I want to break into the IT and Design world, I can’t just knock on two doors and hope they open. I have to kick them down.

To balance this "hustle" energy, I’ve started reading "Shoe Dog" by Phil Knight (the founder of Nike). There’s a passage that hit me hard: as a young man, Knight realized he wanted to live life exactly in that moment before a result—that breath-holding emotion that makes life worth living. He didn’t want a flat, "loser" life. He wanted the adrenaline of the chase.
My Blueprint: From Chaos to Precision
Motivation is the spark, but a system is the engine. Here is how I’ve organized my digital "hunt" to be surgical:
The Master List: I’ve created a digital database of every agency in my city, filtered by location (close to home or the city center). No messy notes: every entry has a direct link to their "Work with us" page or HR contact.
The Goal Hierarchy:
Tier 1: Web Design Agencies (My primary target).
Tier 2: Marketing & Graphic Design Houses.
Tier 3: IT Technical Roles.
Three Cover Letter Templates: No spamming. I’ve prepared three specific, honest models that speak about my studies, my energy, and my hunger to learn.
The goal is to turn the search into a full-time job: filling the day with outreach until the numbers start working for me.
Stay in the Loop
I’m sharing the "raw grind" and the building of this list over on X, where the feedback loop is instant. 👉 Follow the daily progress on X
One last thought:
"Like it or not, life is a game. Whoever denies that truth, whoever simply refuses to play, gets left on the sidelines, and I didn't want that. More than anything, I didn't want to lose." — Phil Knight
I’m not settling. I’m hunting.
How many doors are you planning to kick down this week? Hit reply and let’s talk.
Best, Gavel
